[The journal gets tossed aside, landing facedown while there's a hiss of two blades being unsheathed. He knows he doesn't stand a chance but he's never one to go down without a fight. A bit of stumbling later, there's a cry of pain, footsteps and the recording cuts off. Sorry housemate, the journal is gone, as is its owner.

Looks like there's plenty of New Feathers again, and the first two weeks of the months aren't even over yet. Guess now's as good a time as any to recruit for the Blue Rogues. Everyone who's read Raine's Guide to Luceti might remember seeing our name in there; we're one of the groups dedicated to protecting the village from our more... dangerous residents. Aside from that, whenever there's a big experiment going on that's causing panic, we'll try to settle things down a bit. We can't do it alone, of course! Sometimes, we'll work together with Brave Vesperia or a few villagers who don't want to sign up for one of the groups but still don't feel like sitting around. If you want more info on the Rogues, you can read one of my older journal entries about it.

If you want to join, just let me know. All I need is your name and any special abilities you have that might help the Blue Rogues. Oh, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

This amusement park is great. There's nothing like it back home. Have you guys tried Sky Pirates of Valua yet? If you haven't, you really should. I know it's not as exciting as the rollercoasters and the scenes aren't completely accurate, but it's still a great way to show what the Blue Rogues stand for.

That's right, he ran out of tokens and now he has to work for more. As far as he's concerned, though, it was completely worth it. He rode Sky Pirates of Valua a grandtotal of seven times and, with the help of his partners in crime (Lloyd and Stahn), catapulted a whole load of underpants at animatronic Galcian's head.

Welcome to Luceti, New Feathers! My name's Vyse and I'm the Blue Rogues' Captain. By now, you've probably all gotten settled and had a taste of what the Malnosso's experiments can do. But if you're still confused, something called the New Feather Integration Center is being set up by a few people. It's directly across the clinic and I suggest that all our new residents go pay a visit when it's done. If there's vital information you may have missed, I'll bet you can find it there.

Meanwhile, I'm opening up the Blue Rogue sign-ups again. Those of you who were here during the big battle last month should have an understanding of what the Blue Rogues do, but in case it's not clear you can read this older entry. Plus, it's mentioned in Raine's Guide for New Feathers.

So... I know there's an expression that says people can get up on the wrong side of the bed, but how about waking up in the wrong bed? And the wrong body, while I'm at it.

Uhm... Does anyone know what's going on? Is it another experiment, or just a prank?

So this is it, huh? The big battle. Looks like the Blue Rogues will finally get some real action! It's not the Malnosso themselves, but it's definitely a good start. To protect the needy and fight people who're threatening the village was our main reason for forming this crew, so I'd say we've got enough work to do here. I'm counting on you all, guys. We're a team and we'll show those intruders just who they're messing with! We may come from different worlds, but we're all Lucetians now! We're at full power and willing to fight for what we believe in. That's all that matters!

If anyone from the crew volunteered for something else, like defending people who can't fight or that anti-air force, I'll wish you all good luck with that. As for everyone else, I'll see you on the battlefield. We'll follow Sigmund's strategy: Fighters on the frontlines and magic users giving support a little distance back. Take care, don't push yourself too much and make sure to come out of this fight unscratched.

The headcount went really well. Everyone's accounted for, except Shing and Raenef. Are you guys still around? Or, in case they were taken by the Malnosso and I didn't notice, can one of their friends vouch for them?

Now, partly because Labrador suggested it and partly because Brave Vesperia's doing the same thing, I've decided to implement monthly meetings for Blue Rogues members too. That way, everyone can get to know each other and we can exchange ideas for improving the group in general. Plan strategies, discuss experiments, share stories... That sort of thing. It's great for crew mentality. The 25th of each month should be good, unless there's an emergency. We'll be having our meetings in the barracks. They're in the southeast part of town.

Looks like the flow of New Feathers is finally slowing down. The usual cycle got pretty messed up for some reason. I wonder if it'll go back to normal at the start of next month. Anyway, now's a good time for me to open up the Blue Rogue applications again!

And that's the end of another experiment. This one wasn't too special compared to experiments in the past, but it left its share of chaos anyway. We've only got a few days to regain our bearings before the New Feathers start arriving again.

A meteor shower, huh? That was a nostalgic sight. It looks just like Moonstones, falling from the sky. Can't get my hopes up, though. Moonstones don't seem to exist in this world. And even if they did, they wouldn't fall inside the barrier. Still, it was beautiful to watch. In fact, I think it's still going on right now. Kind of hard to tell with that clear sky, but I think I can spot a few of them. Maybe, if we're lucky, the shower will still be there tonight.

This is quite a mess we've gotten ourselves into, isn't it?

Listen up. I, for one, am not planning to follow the Malnosso's orders. Nobody's who's been... possessed, or whatever you call it, has proven to be a threat. There's no reason to end their lives, but even if there was, I'd still search for another way to stop them. If there's people out there who can't control their new powers, we'll just detain them somehow. ... Yeah, that sounds good. If anyone has any suggestions about where or how to detain people, let's hear them.

Anyway, as Captain of the Blue Rogues, I'm telling my crew to hold their fire, so to speak. I suggest all other villagers do the same. If I catch someone fighting or threatening to kill, I'm stepping in. All other Rogues should do the same. Just make sure to call for help when it looks like you can't handle the situation, okay? There's a lot of dangerous people in the village right now, I'm guessing.

Let's stick together through all this.

Well, Zelos is probably still around, or Lloyd would've mentioned his disappearance. Still, I've got to keep things official. By the way, to all you New Feathers out there, the Blue Rogues are always accepting new members. It's been a while since we actually got to do something, though.

Looks like the amount of kidnappings is finally starting to die down. That's good... But we can't slack off with our patrols! There's still plenty of people who need to be returned and we never know what those Malnosso will come up with next. I expect there won't be another experiment for a few more weeks, though, so at least we can take it easier.

Hey, Luceti! How are you? I have to say, even after a year it's great to be here. I love this village. Aside from the horrible experiments going on, it's not a bad place at all. One of the things I like most is that the Malnosso aren't very picky. Heroes, bad guys, fairies, robots... Homeless people from the street...

These guys will take any guinea pig they can get. "Oh, a normal-looking wolf? Let's bring that in. See how the mice respond to a normal-looking wolf". I think that's good. It shows they're very indiscriminate. Imagine if the Malnosso were racist. We'd have nothing but pirates walking around here. They'd be using a Swashbuckler rating to determine whether their targets are piratey enough to be kidnapped.

No, obviously, these high-caliber individuals have very strong morals. I think that, in some way, they're even pampering us. Just look around you. Food? It's free. Weapons? That's free too. Punched a hole in your wall? Don't worry about that, it'll get fixed in no time. No extra charge. As soon as we leave this place and return to our homes, we'll have lost all sense of how society works. "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought that Moonstone Cannon was mine for the taking. ...
